Aristotle.

aristotle was a greek philosopher, he create the economy, the astronomy, the taxonomy, and was one of the first that practice the biology and anatomy; Aristotle also created the formal logic because he based on experimentation. Addressed all major areas of philosophy (metaphysics, philosophy of nature, epistemology, logic, anthropology, ethics, politics, aesthetics.) and in all fields, though influenced by his teacher Plato, he made originals contributions. Aristotle, like Plato and Socrates, says the the essence is what defines the matter; but Aristotle, unlike Plato, created the existence of two possible or real worlds. He does not depend on the ideas, he developed its design, which is that the essence or substance of real things have a dual reality: they are Matter and Form, and the relationships of some things, cause and/or effect. The concepts of poiesis and mimesis are central to Aristotle's theory. The first term includes poetry, music and dance, although it is unclear about the visual arts. It is used more narrowly, as verbal art, and mimesis concerns the art systems modeler. It is not merely imitative construction, as the Platonic diegesis, is developing a new model of the world

Is the soul a product of body functions?

I think that the product of the body functions are given by our hability to think, of a developed intelligence, in other words depents of the normal function of the brain. the human body functions, as talk, walk, run , eat and blogg are biologic, other wise, the soul do not belong to the body functions, it is untochabl, it is spiritual, something that we can not see it, and in any shapeit will help us to improve our self.
The soul during history, was an unusual and polemic subject.
For each person, the soul could be different acording to their believes. is the non material part of the body, is the essence of the human body.
the soul is inside of each inner spiritual body, is beyong the human intellec, is dificult to understand, thas the main reason to go deep in to the conscience

The thoughts of plato.

Plato was a Greek philosopher, student of Socrates. their fundamental contribution to Western philosophy was the theory of ideas, which argued that the only truth were ideas about things and not things in themselves. Plato, unlike Socrates, uses scripture. Also suggests that society + literature + order = reallity, and the reality is equal to the truth and the truth equals beauty; Plato said that art is a double fallacy (is a lie of a lie), the art is a recreation of nature because the art is not real, and at the same time not true and not beautiful.

Plato raises other things like "The Allegory of the Cave": describes a cave which inside there are men. These men have been forced to contemplate the shadows that are on the wall of the cave. Not knowing other reality except those shadows, take these as the only reality that exists. Plato uses this image to describe the state in which they are citizens who, having been educated by sophists are only able to see the world through images.

Later, one of the men see something strange in the shadows, and see that the images he see are not authentic and he see that is in a cave,he jumps the wall at her back to see where comes the shadows he saw on the wall.

After jumping the wall, he can see how the shadows were produced by men carrying objects and the fire behind them, after avoiding the bearers of objects whit grat difficulty he begind his uphill toward the exit of the cave. (the climb of the cave is not easy becaus of its slope, which represents knowledge).

The man out of the cave is blinded by the light from outside and will be a while until I can see clearly out of the cave, the man seen in the commitment to return to the cave to help his teammates out of their deception and know the reality. But try to make understand their friends their current situation is not easy, because the majority or not believe or not want to face reality as it is, and try to kill him to shut up.
